The Role

This is a full time, permanent, in- house position to develop and maintain websites. You will be responsible for designing, coding, maintaining  and modifying websites, from layout and function and according to a client’s specifications. Strive to create visually appealing, SEO optimized sites that feature user- friendly design and clear navigation.

  • Develop & Maintain WordPress/ Woocommerce Websites
  • Develop & Maintain Shopify Websites
  • WordPress theme backend development
  • WordPress theme creation 
  • WordPress theme customization
  • WordPress plugin installation and maintenance
  • WordPress plugin customization & maintenance
  • Shopify theme backend development
  • Shopify theme customization
  • Shopify applications installation
  • Shopify applications customization
  • Set up and configure website hosting 
  • Facilitate website training for clients and create website training documentation for clients
  • Lead and participate in production strategy sessions
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends for web development

Qualifications

  • Strong command of the English language both written and oral.
  • Experience in coding with HTML, CSS, Liquid, jQuery, JavaScript, JSON, PHP
  • User-interface UX wireframing design
  • Skills in MySQL, Bootstrap, Foundation
  • Working knowledge of website architecture best practices
  • Working knowledge of apache configurations
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Acrobat
  • Experience with project tracking software (Teamwork) 
  • Deadline driven, passionate, determined to succeed and stay on top of the rapidly changing industry
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices to keep in mind during development of client sites
  • Provide impeccable customer service and be courteous, prompt, and timely
  • Be able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally
