Many small businesses in Canada have suffered a financial blow due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, RBC began an initiative called Canada United which works to support local businesses across Canada during this difficult time.
In order to provide relief to Candian businesses, the federal government, RBC, and Canada United have collectively contributed over $14 million to the Canada United Small Business Relief Fund (CUSBRF) and are currently accepting applications from small businesses for COVID-19 relief grants of up to $5,000 each.
These grants are available for small Canadian businesses of any kind that have incurred significant expenses due to COVID-related shut-down, reopening, and implementing new health and safety procedures. The expenses must have been incurred before March 15, 2021 in order to be eligible for the grant.
Business owners and franchise owners can apply for the CUSBRF grants, and you are not eligible if you have already received a CUSBRF grant. For details on whether your business is eligible and how to apply, click here.
